In this article we will introduce to a very important topic SAP HANA Cloud Platform Cockpit.

What is SAP HANA Cloud Platform Cockpit?

In general a cockpit is an area located in the front of an aircraft from which the pilot controls the movements of the aircraft.
SAP HANA Cloud Platform cockpit is your tool to control the SAP HANA Cloud account and applications
It is a Web-based user interface, which is used to
  • Manage SAP HANA Cloud Platform accounts and applications.
  • Access key information about your application on SAP HANA Cloud Platform


How to access SAP HANA Cloud Platform Cockpit?

You can access the cockpit from HANA Cloud Platform home page as shown in the image below.


You can log on to the cockpit using relevant URL for your account type as below.
Customer and partner accounts:
Developer accounts: 

Account Dashboard:

Once you login to cockpit, you first see the dashboard like below:


It provides an overview of the applications available in the different technologies supported by SAP HANA Cloud Platform (SAP HANA XS, Java, and HTML5), and shows other key information about the account. The panel tiles contain links for direct navigation to the relevant information.

The Favorite Applications panel shows all applications that you have added to your favorites, making key information about them available at a glance. You can manage your favorites directly from the account dashboard and navigate to the application dashboard for further details and options.

What’s next?

The SAP HANA Cloud Platform Cockpit provides many other options and navigation links. On the left menu you will see links for settings like HANA Instances, HANA XS Applications, HTML5 Applications, Authorizations etc. In the later articles we will explain them in detail.
